Description
Safely transport supplies to and from plants in a timely and prompt manner. Manage liquid and solid waste removal and ensure appropriate disposal.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Safety and efficiently drive straight truck with expertise and fork truck in tight and difficult situations. Display understanding of good warehousing practices (GWPs), company policies (QFSEs), and other relevant food safety and food quality requirements.
- Work collaboratively with gatekeepers/hallway personnel to make sure pallets are scanned and store in proper location. Understand plant lay outs and machine locations.
- Maintain clean truck and monitor proper truck maintenance.
- Help with inside duties as needed based on assigned job locations such as unloading trucks, processing RM or waste, and other duties as assigned.
- Pick supplies from appropriate locations (Ex. Warehouse, Plants and/or Reclaim Center), load on straight truck (not to exceed 26,000 lbs) and deliver to said sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Pick up returns from the plants, load on a straight truck, and return them to the appropriate site in a safe and timely manner.
- Works under tight delivery and high stress schedules while maintaining efficiencies and professionalism.
- Safely haul recyclable items to the Reclaim Center and empty barrels back to plants.
- Serves as backup to Warehouse (inside) position.
- Support SQF initiative by completing all inspections, records and tasks as requested/directed by Supervision.
Plant: South Plant
Shift/Hours: Night shift with an approximate shift time of 6:00 PM - 4:30 A.M.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Class B CDL and airbrake and HazMat Certifications
- 2 years driving experience strongly preferred.
- Must have ability to obtain fork truck license.
- Needs WMS experience and understanding of plant schedules, plant layouts, and GMPS.
