Department Description: ITS Enterprise Applications (EA) develops and implements software solutions for University enterprises and other campus users. The team supports existing applications within the University’s ConnectCarolina enterprise report management system, including ConnectCarolina’s finance, human resources and payroll pieces and student administration.

Position Discription: ITS-Enterprise Applications, University Services is seeking an experienced Application Analyst to analyze, develop and maintain software applications that support a variety of campus entities including Information Technology Services, Finance and Administration and Campus Enterprises. The position responsibilities include:* Analyze, design, develop, test and support business applications.* Effectively and efficiently respond to software issues as reported by customers and proactively evaluate software/logs/notifications to uncover issues/make improvements as appropriate.* Work with supervisor and customers to understand issues/new requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions. * Document technical solutions in specifications or ticket work logs, as appropriate. * Work with vendors to resolve software issues and configure software.* Develop and support interfaces to vendor and internal applications.* Document information on the functionality/configuration of software applications, interfaces, batch processes, etc. and keep the information up to date.* Assist team members with tasks and skills/knowledge transfer activities as requested.* Understand and carry out the SDLC, Security, and other policies of ITS.* Keep supervisor informed of status, issues, etc.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: - Demonstrated experience in the analysis, design, development, testing and support of business applications.- Experience with Java, .Net or PHP web development.- Experience writing SQL statements for reporting and/or validating data.- Experience capturing customer requirements and translating into technical design documents.- Strong communication and organizational skills.- Experience documenting applications and processes.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent customer service skills.
Education Requirements: Master’s or Bachelors and 0-2 years’ experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
Qualifications and Experience: - Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica.- Experience with Finance/accounting business applications and experience with Telecom applications.- Bachelors Degree with minimum 3 years experience, OR Masters Degree and 1 year of experience, OR 6 years of overall directly related experience in lieu of degree.
