eBenefits Systems Analyst
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for an eBenefits Systems Analyst for the Human Resources. This is a full-time, permanent staff position.
Salary: $56,435 - $65,000
Primary Purpose of Position: Responsible for the eBenefits system, other systems as assigned, data integration’s, advanced accounting/reconciliations, and Affordable Care Act administration. Also responsible for quality control and compliance, process improvement/projects, reporting, data analysis, and benefits consulting. Provides technical support for software tools/applications.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for multiple eBenefits systems and data integrations:
- Reviews/approves online tasks/documentation (enrollments, qualifying life events, dependent verifications).
- Identifies missing/invalid data and resolves discrepancies (missing/invalid SSN).
- Processes data integrations (integrity, loads, schedule, errors).
- Administers annual processes (open enrollment).
- Generates and analyzes reports.
Manages deductions and reconciliations:
- Determines and makes needed deduction entries from file loads.
- Coordinates with IT/Payroll to establish/change deductions/limits.
- Completes complex reconciliations and resolves discrepancies.
Supports benefits administration for separations:
- Monitors reports, terminates benefit deduction records and collects or refunds premiums as needed.
- Consults employees regarding impacts and provides instructions.
Supports administration of Affordable Care Act:
- Determines eligibility, consults, and makes offers.
- Evaluates data for measurement periods to determine eligibility and completes necessary actions (offers, terminations, entries, data loads).
- Identifies and resolves issues through quality controls and error reports.
- Supports year-end file and corrections for reporting.
Provides team support:
- Back up (consulting).
- Enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, deductions.
- Presentations, events, data entry.
- Projects, process improvements, documentation.
- Evaluates and recommends software tools, administers team training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with benefits administration.
- Experience with eBenefit systems and deduction management.
- Experience with process improvements and project management.
- Prior knowledge and work with benefits administration, systems, and data integration’s.
- Advanced accounting/reconciliation experience.
- Strong technical, accounting, and customer service competencies.
- Prior related experience within the State of North Carolina system.
