The Associate Director will perform generalist functions in a variety of key Human Resource areas. Duties include: ensuring compliance with various HR-related laws and programs (FLSA, ADA/ADAA, HIPAA, FMLA, NYPFL, I-9), handling claims administration and various administrative hearings and processes for unemployment, disability and workers' compensation, overseeing policy compliance and employee relations efforts, developing and/or coordinating structured employee training programs, and working with departments regarding organizational development and succession planning,
Qualifications include: a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred), at least three years of HR generalist experience, well-established abilities in the specific functional areas (special emphasis on legal compliance, training, and employee relations) and ability to provide exemplary service to a highly diverse community. Professional certification is highly desired and previous diversity training is a plus.
