Titan America LLC seeks a Senior Electrical and Automation Systems Manager to work at Titan’s Pennsuco plant in Medley, Florida. Will lead companywide activities relating to Electrical Engineering and Plant Automation functions. Lead development and implementation of initiatives to streamline and increase effectiveness of Electrical Maintenance across business units. Support initiatives at local level to maximize throughout, minimize downtime, and improve reliability of power and automation systems. Focus on training and development of key personnel in Electrical Maintenance and Automation functions companywide. Will oversee all aspects of electrical installations (power and distribution, control, and instrumentation) as well as automation systems (ECS, PSP, and QCX). Will report to Corporate Director of Technology and perform following duties:

 

  • Establish electrical engineering objectives and assignments that align with Titan’s strategic and operating plans;
  • Direct and control the operations through planning, budgeting, implementing, and maintaining costs, methods and employees;
  • Develop managerial and supervisory teams through training and mentoring; and
  • Analyze current electrical standards and practices and recommend a course of action for upgrades, including capital expenditures.

 

 

            The Senior Electrical and Automation Systems Manager position requires Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent foreign degree and at least 15 years of Electrical Engineering experience. Required experience must include: experience in Power (high voltage) engineering in cement or heavy industries; and 10 years of managerial experience, including strong leadership and management background. Also required:

 

  • Safety and leadership focus;
  • Self-starter with high energy and proven record of instituting continuous improvement;
  • Demonstrated ability to form meaningful partnerships with various business leaders;
  • Proficient analytical and strategic planning, organization, and time-management abilities. Must be capable of handling numerous projects concurrently;
  • Ability to understand company’s needs and influence others to meet business objectives;
  • Training and development skills;
  • Ability to communicate with and manage internal (cross functional teams) and external parties in effective, collaborative, and positive manner, representing company’s interests;
  • Engineering and operational proficiency;
  • Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project;
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills; and
  • Ability to travel up to 40% between Medley, Florida, and Roanoke, Virginia.
