Vice President for Instruction (Anticipated Opening)
The Arkansas Northeastern College (ANC) is a state- supported, comprehensive two-year institution.
ANC is nationally recognized leader in workforce development, particularly customized training for manufacturing and working with under served communities.
The Vice President for Instruction is the College’s chief academic officer and reports directly to the President. The Vice President has leadership of and responsibility for the total College instructional program and services.
Qualifications/Preferences:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- An earned doctorate from an accredited institution
- Five or more years of administrative experience at the level of academic departmental dean or higher
- Teaching experience at the community college level
- Knowledge and experience in the delivery of technical education for high-demand, high-wage careers
- Knowledge and experience with concurrent credit programs
- Experience in strategic planning and budgeting
- Experience in planning, coordinating, assessing, and improving curriculum and instruction
- Broad understanding of regulatory and accreditation issues at the state and federal level
- Applied knowledge of current teaching and learning techniques
- Competency in the application of instructional technology
- Knowledge of delivery and management of distance education
- Demonstrated participatory/collaborative leadership style
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills
- A history of civic engagement and leadership
- Career interest in developing skills and abilities as a future chief executive officer
