Associate Producer
Merge Studios is seeking an Associate Producer who is motivated, ambitious, and thrives in the demanding field of film production. Primary duties include assisting with corporate and internal projects, coordinating talent activities and location as well. The Associate Producer will provide assistance to the Production team, either under direct supervision of a Producer, or working independently on tasks. He or she will assist in all aspects of development of productions, such as: script analysis, coverage, research, breakdown, budgeting, scheduling, booking vendors and crew, etc. Assist with all aspects of production to assure the creation of high quality projects for instructional, promotional, broadcast and corporate programs for our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist the Producer in maintaining the project integrity for the clients.
-Serves as additional point of contact for client.
-Attends client meetings and pre-production meetings with the Producer, or in place of Producer.
-Coordinate freelancers – books talents in conjunction with the Producer.
-Assist overseeing production by working with project personnel to realize the client’s goals
-Provide on-set back up for the Producer.
-Responsibilities include coordinate trucks and all transportation, build call sheets, book vendors and crew, put in equipment orders.
-Coordinate creative materials production and ensure assets are customized to requirements.
-Coordinating production and inter-departmental meetings.
-Maintaining department workflow, including production calendars, assignment grids, rating reports, artwork, etc.
-Processing vendor approvals and payments.
-Work closely with the Producers for each show, to allow efficient management of staff and facilities in accordance with production and delivery specifications.
-Orders, maintains, and manages budget for Office Supplies.
-Provide assistance to Production Management with managing inventory and updating data bases.
-Create & issue all vendor PO’s including price, quantity and style information.
-Support the producers to prepare and organize materials for shoots.
-Liaise with both internal and external teams to ensure creative assets are delivered according to project schedule.
-Assist on talent castings – collecting talent cards, recording attendance, creating contact sheets, organizes galleries and tracking imagery on the server.
-Arrange for catering for shootings & meetings.
-Attend to client’s and crew’s needs during production.
-Handle various administrative tasks such as digital correspondence, digital filing, and trafficking requests from clients.
-Performs other duties as needed and directed.
The applicant must have at least 1+ year of experience in Production or a similar industry with development, production and broadcasting pre-produced and live video productions. Knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud 2018, including After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator, as well as Movie Magic and Showbiz Budgeting. Basic knowledge of non-linear editing. The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Motion Pictures, Telecommunication Technology or related field.
