Postdoctoral Researcher in Synthetic Organometallic Chemistry

 Description of Duties (This is a brief summary of the hiring department and the duties of the role):

 Postdoctoral Researcher in Synthetic Organometallic Chemistry

Successful candidates will synthesize metal-containing photoresist compounds. He/she will characterize newly-synthesized compounds using NMR, IR and GPC as well as test for thermal and air stability, coating quality and sensitivity to EUV light. Additionally, post-doctoral researchers will take up to two trips a year to the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen, Switzerland to use and operate the EUV interference lithography beam line to characterize newly-synthesized materials for their performance as high-resolution photoresists.

MinimumQualifications (Both measurable and soft skill requirements):

Applicants should have a Ph.D. with publications demonstrating expertise in synthetic organometallic chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, synthetic inorganic chemistry or synthetic polymer chemistry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to expertise in the design, synthesis and characterization of organometallic or inorganic compounds, other desirable areas of expertise include physical chemistry, chemical engineering and material science. Expertise in photoresists, photochemistry, or work at synchrotrons would be an added bonus.
