Probag is currently hiring an Engineering Operations Manager to work in our Medley office. The applicant must have 5+ years of experience directing the overall operations of a company oriented to the industrial/manufacturing industry, and strategic policy making and financial planning. In addition, experience in management of engineering projects using 3f Project Management Software and profit optimization techniques. The applicant must possess a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, related major or its equivalent combination of work and education (Bachelor’s Degree + 7 years of post-baccalaureate experience).
The Engineering Operations Manager’s position is a highly responsible professional (engineering) position directing the operational aspect of the Company. This aspect includes all products offered by the company to the general customer, and the internal operations performed to maintain the function of the company. A high level of strategic judgment and initiative are utilized in the generation of policies, financial planning and supervision of our national and international operations. Develops, manages, and controls large/multiple-unit budget; manages all aspects of large complex projects using 3f Project Management Software. In addition, maintains external network of technical expertise among suppliers, consultants, and other groups. In addition, he or she directs the activities of subordinates within the company to assure that the desired level of services is being provided within the scope of the manufacturing industry. Supervises and encourages the development and implementation of effective products strategies on behalf of the company. Manages development of new innovative profitable products, meeting acceptable standards for manufacturability, quality, and on-time delivery. The Engineering Operations Manager must have strong experience with system design and integration including, mechanical and industrial systems. Responsible for a development team that consists of project engineer(s), maintenance engineer(s), mechanical engineer(s) and designer(s), implement technical leadership experience/capabilities required to ensure on time delivery of complex technical solutions for multiple projects efforts. Prepares/presents technical proposals and designs reviews.
The Engineering Operations Managers will be responsible for developing a new Expended Polystyrene Industry addition without interrupting actual paper mill production operations. He works in tandem with the Financial Manager and assists in the preparation of financial documents and performing Sales Analysis. Prepares risk analysis on potential investments; as well as prepares operational and investment budgets. Strong knowledge of engineering/management concepts and theories applicable to the management of a manufacturing company and knowledge of management information systems and technologies are required. Perform other duties as required.
