OrthoNY has openings for Full and Part Time Appointment Schedulers. This position will answer phones and schedule current and new patient appointments. They will also assist in other administrative tasks within the department.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Directly reporting to the Call Center Supervisor, the Appointment Scheduler will:
• Answer phones and provide customer service to patients as needed; collect patient registration data
• Schedule patient appointments;

Case Manager at OrthoNY
Albany, NY
OrthoNY has open positions for Case Managers. The Case Manager will work collaboratively as part of a care team to provide quality care for orthopedic patients.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Directly reporting to the Supervisor of Case Management, this position is responsible for:
• Serving as a single point of contact during initial and follow-up phases of orthopedic care among referring physicians, patients, and caregivers;
• Completing telephonic pre-operative risk assessments and collaborating with physicians and patients to develop an individualized care plan;
• Providing resources and assistance in accessing clinical and supportive care services in the community to better optimize patients for surgery;
• Gathering clinical information from the EMR/and telephonic health assessments to determine risk stratification including a comprehensive assessment of the physical, emotional, psychosocial and environmental needs of the patient;
• Developing and implementing care plans throughout the episode of care;
• Educating patients/caregivers on the process and expectations of healthcare throughout the course of care;
• Participating and assisting in assessment, planning, and coordination of educational and informational programs for orthopedic population;
• Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide patient and family education, communicating with health care providers to coordinate and facilitate services within the episode of care;
• And other responsibilities as designated by the Supervisor of Case Management.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Current unrestricted NY State RN license; PT license; or OT license;
• Minimum 2-3 years nursing, PT or OT experience in a hospital/home care setting or telephonic case management experience;
• Bachelors or Master’s degree and orthopedic experience preferred;
• Excellent customer service skills including, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team;
• Proficient with electronic health/medical records and Microsoft Office;
• Strong problem solving skills with a flexible and creative approach.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at OrthoNY
Albany, Saratoga and Schenectady, NY
OrthoNY has openings for Licensed Practice Nurses for our Albany, Saratoga and Schenectady regions. The LPN will perform administrative and defined clinical tasks related to patient care under the supervision of a physician.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Directly reporting to the Site Manager or Clinical Manager, this position is responsible for:
• Verifying patient information; recording medical history and reporting to physician;
• Preparing patient for exams by performing preliminary tests as needed;
• Assisting provider with patient care as requested;
• Performs cast removal, stitch and staple removal, dressing changes; prepares injections, obtains cultures as ordered/needed;
• Back-up to Nurse Line (depending region);
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school;
• NYS License
• 1 - 3 years experience preferred;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Must be familiar with medical terminology;
• Strong data entry skills;
• CPR Preferred

Albany and Saratoga, NY
OrthoNY has openings for Part Time and Full-Time Medical Receptionists in our Albany and Saratoga regions. This position will accurately and efficiently collect and enter information needed from patients to facilitate processing and payment follow-through for all services rendered.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Directly reporting to the Supervisor of Medical Reception, the Medical
Receptionist will:
• Greet patients promptly and professionally;
• Obtains all required patient information, documents and signatures;
• Collects any patient payments and schedules follow ups if required;
• Utilizes practice management system as needed;
• Balances and closes journal each day;
• Follows up on insurance and patient receivables as assigned;
• Other responsibilities as designated by the Supervisor
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma, additional degrees a plus
• Advanced Certification in billing/coding a plus;
• 1+ years in customer service and AR processing
(medical setting preferred);
