Director of Housekeeping

Director of Housekeeping position in Miami, FL. Duties Incl: Supv all housekeeping staff. Work w/ HR to recruit & hire new housekeeping staff as needed. Provide training to housekeeping staff regarding co. rules & protocols as well as governing legal reqmts for hotel accommodation cleanliness. Monitor housekeeping staff work performance & quality of work, write & deliver warning notices when policies have been violated, & discharge employees when necessary. Evaluate housekeeping staff members & recommend for promotions &/or transfers when opportunities arise. Plan the scheds & work activities for housekeeping staff & distribute assignments accord to hotel occupancy forecasts. Review & approve supply requests to maintain supply stock. Dvlp effective strategies to communicate w/ other depts. Dvlp departmental budgets, monitor, & take corrective action as necessary to ensure that fin'l goals are attained. Make recommendations regarding necessary capital expenditures & special maintenance, repairs, & improvements. Dvlp & implmt linen supply & other inventory mgmt prgms to control expenses. Plan deep cleaning� activities & scheds for the hotel's public & private guestroom areas. Participate in ongoing evaluation prgms to ensure that all hotel areas meet cleanliness, safety, & other stds. Other similar, rltd tasks as needed. Reqmts: minimum 6 mos prior F/T exp as a hotel room attendant or housekeeper or in a similar field rltd to performing prof'l cleaning or housekeeping duties. Must be able to speak & write Spanish as demonstrated by scoring 9's or higher on ALTA Language Service's Spanish Listening & Speaking & Spanish Writing Tests, or by having comparable scores on tests provided by similar language proficiency testing services.
