Director of College Communications and Marketing
Director of College Communications and Marketing Full-time
Exempt Administrative position located in Fort Morgan, CO. The position will utilize critical thinking, excellent judgement, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills to create and implement a strategic marketing plan to stimulate enrollment in all credit and non-credit programs; plan and direct marketing activities, publications, publicity, and advertising for the college, including all of the college centers in the MCC service area; assist with internal communication among the college staff; and serve as the college's public information officer. Open until filled.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the field of communications and/or marketing.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in communications/public relations, including but not limited to press releases, news articles, serving as a media spokesperson, and working with multiple social media platforms.
- Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated marketing experience, including publication and advertising planning/design.
- Professional work experience with website operations.
- Full-time supervision experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, with outstanding proofreading and editing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign CC, as well as digital photography.
- Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week and committee service including the ability to participate in evening and weekend commitments as necessary.
- Ability to travel as necessary to carry out job duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator CC and/or Adobe Photoshop CC.
- Portfolio of previous projects.
