The University of Miami in Miami, FL is seeking a Senior Decision Support Analyst to be responsible for planning and allocating UHealth resources with a goal of optimizing resource utilization while meeting patient service goals. Expected to develop and maintain workforce planning models based on forecasted patient demand, benchmark staff productivity levels, and targeted patient service levels (call center metrics, clinic wait times, cycle times, etc.) to allocate resources. Responsible for insuring recurring utilization reports that monitor performance are in place and facilitate decision making. This individual will also identify opportunities and participate in process improvement projects aimed at improving patient service and resource utilization. Expected to maintain in depth knowledge of operational and patient flow considerations in the clinical specialties they support as well as manage proximity with primary customers. This individual will be required to regularly update the team and leadership via the DSA project tracker. Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field and 3 years of experience in the following: data manipulation and analysis; capacity/demand analysis, workforce planning, simulation modeling, and lean process improvement principles; routine reporting of business activities; consulting and/or project lead experience on a project; interpreting graphs and reports; queuing theory; business statistics, quantitative methods, performance analysis, and development of business performance dashboards, scorecards and KPl's; Microsoft Excel, Access, and relational databases.
