Assistant Controller (Miami Beach, FL). Conduct accurate accounting of all assets, liabilities, equity, income, expense, and statistical accounts for the Infrastructure Lending Segment. Supervise 2-4 employees including Accounting Manager, and Staff Accountant or Senior Accountant. Must possess a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accountancy, Accounting, or a closely related field and two (2) years of financial services experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm. Experience must include the following skills/tool/technologies: knowledge and application of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley in preparing/reviewing or auditing financial statements; researching and applying technical accounting guidance; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, IFs, SUMIFs, match, text-to-column, V-lookups, H-lookups; designing and executing audit procedures around large complex financial models; experience reviewing income and balance sheet analytics, trends, and understanding relationships and developing expectations between the various financial statement line items; review of legal agreements including receivables, note payables and identification of accounting implications; experience in a supervisory role teaching staff, providing formal and informal feedback, allocating work and coordinating timely completion of procedures.
