Job Details
Legal Aid Service of Broward County, a non-profit law firm, seeks a highly motivated Marketing and Event Coordinator to join the Resource Development Office in coordinating internal and external marketing efforts and special events in support of strategic fundraising efforts. This position must utilize skills including team-based interaction, project management, goal setting and administrative support. Candidate must have the ability to effectively multi-task, work under pressure with initiative and resourcefulness, exhibit tight organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position is a demanding and diverse role that includes a mix of administrative tasks, project coordination and creative work tied to brand integrity. Advanced technical skills required in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator, HTML, email database and newsletter facilitators, content management systems, website builders and plug-ins, and social media platforms. The position is EXEMPT and reports to the Director of Resource Development. Occasional weekend and after-hour, special event time-frames required. Salary D.O.E.
About the Law firm
Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, began providing legal services to residents of Broward County in 1973. For 31 years, LAS was the only law firm in Broward County providing free civil legal services to the under-privileged. In January of 2004, to more effectively serve the under-served population in Broward County, partnering agency, Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) was formed to address the needs of clients who could be served under federal Legal Services Corporation (LSC) funding, freeing LAS to direct its resources to segments of the under-served population not able to be represented under LSC restrictions.
