Receiving Clerk - Night Shift

Position Summary:
Support the team in clerical and administrative tasks. Provide optimum customer service and resolve inquiries related to order discrepancies. Monitor shift production and workflow and ensure inventory accuracy with the goal of first-contact resolution. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
- Respond to and resolve store/buyer inquiries and claims
- Provide distribution center (DC) leadership utilizing information that could prevent future losses
- Process store delivery claims for credit
- Resolve any inventory discrepancies
- Set up new product items into inventory systems
- Research accounting questions on purchase orders, invoices, and billings of product received
- Prepare handbill for product returned to the DC from stores
- Track late deliveries
- Manage warehouse supplies and equipment inventory
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications & Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 2 + years of warehouse experience
- Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
- Ability to problem solve with a goal of first-contact resolution
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Sense of urgency when dealing with customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to all contacts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness and ability to learn new software applications with minimum difficulty
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Understanding of case pick, piece pick, shipping, and receiving functions
- Customer service center and technical support
- Inventory control
- Exposure to production roles in warehouse
- Understand the product flow through facility
- Expertise with multiple computer systems, warehouse inventory network (WIN), radio frequency inventory (RFI), and Vo-collect and a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technology
