Job Objectives - Responsible for ensuring the proper compounding, dispensing, review and verification of prescribed medications with regulatory guidelines, company policy and procedures. - Identify ways to optimize pharmacy financials and inventory. Job Responsibilities/Task - Customer Experience - Develop strong relationship with valuable customers - Counsel patients and answers their questions regarding usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient privacy, generic medication, over-the-counter products and refers to medical provider as needed to ensure medication is taken correctly. - Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management. - Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations and standards. - Responsible for the opening and closing of the pharmacy and shift change duties. - Ensure that according to State and Federal controlled substance laws when filling prescriptions. - Maintain current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems. - Ensure the accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections. - Performs clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive healthcare services. Required Qualifications - Active Pharmacy License in Florida - Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution. - Fluent in English and Spanish - Minimum 3 years of experience as a pharmacist in retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
