JOB TITLE: Pastry Chef

EFFECTIVE DATE:
SUMMARY: Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and
cookies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and
standards.
Decorate and present pastries in an appealing manner.
Monitory inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with catering orders as needed.
Familiar with New York style Jewish pastry, deserts and bake goods.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a catering or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality pastries.
Creativity and attention to detail in decorating pastries
Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to effectively communicate with people of all levels and from various
backgrounds.
Strong work ethic & self-motivated
