JOB TITLE: Bread Baker

REPORTS TO: General Manager/Executive Chef
EFFECTIVE DATE:
SUMMARY: Prepare and bake a variety of NY Style Jewish bakery items, including Jewish Rye
bread, Pumpernickel, Kaiser rolls, club rolls, onion pockets, bagels, and challah bread.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality.
Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules for markets and
special events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as a baker in a catering or restaurant setting is preferred.
Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy ingredients or
equipment.
Ability to effectively communicate with people of all levels and from various
backgrounds.
Strong work ethic & self-motivated.
Must have strong knowledge of New York Style Jewish Rye bread, Challah bread and
other NY Jewish style techniques.
