Service Position Title: Program Coordinator
Level of Work: Full-Time- Minimum of 40 hours per week required (weekly hours subjects of flexibility based on program needs)
Immediate Supervisor: Program Sponsor/President
Service Position Summary: Plan, organize and deliver an after school and summer program of appropriate activities to support elementary students’ academic and social-emotional learning and enrichment experiences.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications Requirements:
-Has an affinity for children and young people
-Background or degree in education, psychology, social-work, or a related discipline.
-Experience in working with children (references required).
-Believes that all dreamers can be successful and is dedicated to helping students and low-income communities.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
-Cultural understanding.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web navigation and basic IT skills.
-Reliable transportation. Flexible work schedule.
Preferred skills:
• Haitian Creole language experience/education
• Spanish language experience/education.
About the Program:
“I Have a Dream” Foundation of Miami (IHDF) is a year around, academic, and social-emotional enrichment program. We provide long-term, year-around academic, social-emotional and enrichment programming for students from early elementary school through high school and post-secondary education. “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Miami is seeking full-time Program Coordinators for our elementary program launching this upcoming academic year to support second graders. In the Program Coordinator position, you have the opportunity to grow with the students and hone in to their individual strengths as a way to guide them toward their avenues to success.
