Web Content Strategist
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and managing the overall web content strategy for the university website in support of university operations. The web content strategist will write content and be responsible for planning, developing, measuring, and improving the effectiveness of the university website.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of web management principles and practices.
Knowledge of content strategy methods and analytics.
Knowledge of writing engaging content for the web.
Knowledge of university and departmental policies and procedures.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in grammar, editing, and proofreading with meticulous attention to detail.
Skill in interpersonal relations and ability to work effectively with diverse population.
Skill in prioritizing, organizing work, and following through.
Skill in multitasking, time management, and working at a face pace.
Skill in the management of files and records.
Skill in working independently and collaboratively
Required Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the field required (English, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, etc.).
More than three years of related experience required in web content strategy or creating/writing content for digital media.
Experience with content management systems, search engine optimization best practices, and analytics.
