Manages department career events team, and has oversight over recruitment program, employer branding initiatives and corporate sponsorship program, to enhance employer engagement and grow internships and employment opportunities to impact employment outcomes of students and alumni.

  • Manages department career events team, and has oversight of the planning of on-campus career fairs and other career related events such as, Career fairs, graduate school fair, employer planes, industry nights, dining etiquette dinners, employers institute etc.
  • Also, provide support for CTD events hosted at the campus locations.
  • Supports initiatives related to employer relations, manage on- campus recruitment program, employer information sessions, on- campus tabling, on-campus interviews, employer sponsored events, networking events, and more.
  • Manages employer sponsorship program including, marketing and promotion of program and deliverables.
  • Provides individual and group consultations to companies interested in recruiting at FIU through presentations, site visits and intentional communication.
  • Manages reports and budgets related to all career events.
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures related to events and general employer engagement activities.
  • Serves as the merchant accounts primary contact. Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit card transactions for the department, such as assisting employers with credit card payment for career fair and other employer events.
  • Supervises and schedules student assistants and/or administrative personnel.
  • Serves as the departmental spokesperson on matters related to Special Events.
  • Maintains and adheres stay, local, and national laws as it relates to career and talent recruitment.
  • Represents the office at local, national and international conferences.
  • Provides individualized and group consultation to companies interested in recruiting at FIU through presentations, site visits and marketing
  • Prepares scheduled and ad hoc reports as well as written communication related to events and employer recruitment activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of labor market trends is preferred.
