Logistics & Ops Specialist
Distribuidora Importadora Greymaldo is currently hiring a Logistics & Ops Specialist to work in our Miami, Florida office. This position is responsible for effectively assisting our logistics, distribution and accounting departments. The Logistics & Ops Specialist will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction and providing effective task and assistance to assigned departments. The Logistics & Ops Specialist’s position is a highly professional position assisting different operational aspects of the company. These aspects include all products/services offered by the company to the general customer, and the internal operations (Logistics/Distribution/Invoicing) performed to maintain the function of the company. A high level of strategic judgment and initiative are utilized in the generation of logistic strategies, invoicing accuracy, documentation and preparation of shipping and receiving logistics documents. Therefore, he or she is responsible for assisting management in all logistics and invoicing operations; performing statistical analysis to identify variance from predicted and specified figures; and performing other related activities.
Additionally, the Logistics & Ops Specialist will assist management develop procedures for coordination of supply and logistics management with other functional areas, such as sales, finance, and quality assurance; manage activities related to strategic or tactical inventory control, warehousing, and/or receiving; analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, and optimize customer service; confer with Sales Department to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of products; and provide meaningful exception reporting to management and generate complex ad hoc analyses as directed. Las but not least, the Logistics & Ops Specialist will assist the accounting department perform sales & inventory analysis; planning/enhancing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive “Revenue Recognition Process”; and performing Standard Costing and Activity Based Costing (ABC) Analysis. The specialist should have strong knowledge of concepts and theories applicable to distribution as well as knowledge of Logistics and Accounting Software. He or she may perform other duties as required.
The applicant must have at least 4+ years of experience in the logistics, distribution and invoicing management area of a company, and must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Logistics.
