South Central Head Start Program for Clark, Estill, Garrard, Jackson, Laurel, Madison, Powell and Rockcastle counties is currently accepting applications for the position of Family and Community Specialist.. This position is responsible for monitoring Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance system implementation according to the Head Start Program Performance Standards and program policy and procedures. Maintains a data information management system, to include developing reports to support timely and accurate information for the Head Start programs. In collaboration with Center Managers, provides technical assistance to center staff that meets funding source requirements and ensures program outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral science or related field is required. Must document the following skills: interpersonal and communication skills including being able to work as a team. Must obtain a T.B. skin test, physical, as well as any other screenings, and/or testing required by the funding source, licensing and/or regulations. Must be capable of lifting up to forty pounds. Must have a valid Kentucky driver’s license.
