Position Description:
Under the direction of the Vice President, Economic and Workforce Development, the Administrative Assistant II performs complex, detailed and responsible administrative and secretarial functions and supports coordination of multiple units (Employee Training Institute, Center for Applied Competitive Technologies, Sector Navigators, Deputy Sector Navigators, Small Business Development Center, Strong Workforce Apprenticeship Group, GIG Economy). This person also develops, recommends, coordinates and implements techniques and practices to improve the operation of the office with a special emphasis of grant coordination, event marketing, social media, and monthly reporting practices.
Experience:
Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as an administrative assistant or in a comparable position which would demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties that are essential to this position. Working knowledge of word processing, business office organization, financial record keeping and other related skill areas including computer literacy.
Education:
Education equivalent to an Associate’s degree (60 semester units) from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of direct experience in addition to that identified above may be substituted for each one year (30 semester units) of college.
