Systems Administrator - IT Professional
Chemtech Plastics, Inc. a thermoplastic Injection Molding Company in Elgin, is seeking a detail-orientated individual with excellent organizational skills for a Systems Administrator role.
Job Duties Include:

Responsible for day-to-day support and maintenance of infrastructure, including all hardware, software, and telephones.

Setting up and maintaining servers (Windows 2012 R2-2016) in a virtual environment (using Hyper-V)

Responsible for administering the backup system, and replication to the cloud (Carbonite).

Administration of in house helpdesk system and network monitoring tools (Spiceworks)
-
Responsible for OS patching and software deployment systems (ManageEngine)
-
Administration of cloud based endpoint protection (Webroot)
-
Administration of wired and wireless network and firewall (Cisco Meraki)
-
Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

Recommend specifications for hardware/software upgrades and replacements.

Assist in deployment of upgraded/new hardware and software to end-users.

Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence.

Document all new or changed computer processes.

Maintain the hardware inventory and software licensing
Job Requirements:
-
Minimum 3 years’ IT experience – networking and server support experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of Windows 7-10, Microsoft Office (on premise and Office 365), and Adobe Acrobat.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange (2013 Standard), ERP systems, EDI, and barcoding.

Working knowledge of cloud-based VOIP phone systems.

Manage relationships with external vendors

SharePoint development and administration a plus

Programming experience (Visual Basic) a plus

Project Management experience in IT a big plus

Manufacturing environment experience required.
